Southland Concrete Corporation was founded in 1973 by Eric Wells as a site concrete subcontractor for residential and commercial projects, and in 1976, Southland added the capacity to perform light foundation and slab work. We completed our first major commercial project in 1978, the “tilt-up” 78,000 sf Mid-Atlantic Gift Center in Reston, VA.

By the early ‘80s, Southland Concrete turned to commercial concrete work exclusively, assembling a core of talented, hard working craftsmen and managers that form the backbone of today’s company.

Our business grew through the ‘90s, and in the year 2000, Southland Concrete became an employee-owned company. Today, we are a multi-disciplined commercial concrete contractor with a workforce topping 500.
